Personal recommendation from Dan O’Day:
"If they could have a copy of only one audio seminar, what's the one that you would recommend for all radio people?"
This one.
Not only does Chuck Blore demonstrate the soul of radio; he is the soul of radio.
Tap the "Play" button above to hear a sample.
Here's a rare opportunity to spend nearly two hours with a genuine radio legend.
As a programmer, Chuck Blore not only understood radio's vast power to reach and affect people; he expanded radio's horizons for the entire industry.
His radio stations were unique.
Their successes were unparalleled.
The bonds they formed with their listeners are almost unimaginable (especially in today's "radio as a commodity" environment).
Radio programming people are a strange breed.
We get paid to sit in a tiny room and talk to strangers we can’t see.
Not everyone who works at a radio station is a Radio Person.
Radio People have radio in their blood.
No matter where in the world you are, if you've always been drawn to the magic of radio….
If you know that radio can create magic.…
FLYING IN THE FACE OF RADIO is for you.
If, on the other hand, for you radio is "just a job," don't bother to download this seminar.
Among Chuck's countless accolades is an award praising his "original concepts elevating both the entertainment and the communications levels of broadcasting."
You'll hear many of those original concepts here — and your eyes (and ears) will open to a whole new world of creative radio.
Special Bonus: The rarely heard KIIS-AM "audition tape" that Chuck used to send to prospective employees, to make sure they understood exactly what kind of radio station they were seeking to join.
The KIIS audition tape has taken on the status of legend.
Today, some radio people think it's just a wonderful myth: that before you could apply for a job at KIIS, first you were required to listen to the station's audition tape.
It's not a myth.
Click on the "Add to Cart" button at the top of the page right now, and in just a couple of minutes you'll be listening to it...and absorbing some of the radio genius of Chuck Blore
Chuck Blore, when Program Director at KELP/El Paso,
set an industry record by capturing 74% of the market's
listeners. From there, he jumped to KFWB/Los Angeles,
achieving an incredible 47% market share (among some
60 stations). He was named "Radio Man of the Year" for
three successive years for "original concepts elevating
both the entertainment and the communications levels
of broadcasting."

This is my second copy of this recording. I bought another copy so I could give it somebody who needed an injection of pure inspiration. There are bits on this tape that made me cry.
